Be patient in your trials and endure.
“…. who will render to every man according to his deeds: to them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life.” Romans 2: 6,7
I can hear the scoffers now deriding that Christians would seek “glory and honor” — which is another case of man making up his own rules: the atheist says it’s okay (and good) for athletes to seek glory and honor — but has a problem when Christians do the same!
Man is judged by God concerning the “rules of the game” that were decided by God. But many men dream up what it means to be “good” themselves. They say to themselves, “I am Good because I do __________ , and ___________ and I don’t do _______________.
This would be like an Olympic contestant who says “I am worthy of the prize because of my excellent swimming skills!” With the problem being he is in a high-jump contest.
